You may be thinking that poetry isn't exactly marketing.

But it was Nina Manolson's Body Peace poems that captured the raw, vulnerable inner process of a woman's relationship with her body. They have resonated with so many women because they speak the truth about our relationships with our bodies.

Put yourself out there like Nina did and share your inner process with the world. You'll be amazed at the response and community these poems can create. And who knows, it is the marketing strategy that sets you apart in a sea of sameness.

Tune in to the ᴄᴏɴꜱᴄɪᴏᴜꜱ ᴍᴀʀᴋᴇᴛᴇʀ podcast —Body Peace and Reclaiming Your Identity with Nina Manolson ▶️

Key points covered in this episode:

[01:14] Meet Nina Manolson, who was always on the lookout for the next diet, the next fitness regime, and how to change the body to fit into that teeny tiny box that our world says is beautiful. She has seen the beauty and liberation of a life that's the opposite of warring with our weight and self-worth.

[05:40] We don't just need body love, but body-peace. Nina explains that it's not always lovey-dovey for what makes a real relationship with our bodies but one that's based on a foundation of peace and mutual respect.

[09:21] When people are at war with their bodies, they struggle with unwanted eating, binge eating, secret eating, compulsive eating, nighttime eating, restricted eating, all the disordered eating that really get in our way and spends so much time and valuable real estate in our brains.

[17:30] Unwanted inner criticism and eating behavior are windows and doorways into other parts of our life and healing that we need to do for ourselves. Nina says, "If we can look at those instead of trying to hide them and push them back under the rug, trying to fix the body as broken, going into the next diet/regimen/quick fix - we have to look underneath that for transformation to happen."

[22:14] Hiding and marketing don't go together.

Women entrepreneurs who are not at peace with their bodies tend to play small in business. They hide from their bigger purpose, creating the impact and effect they could have in the world.

[25:26] We are desperate for someone who's just being themselves – raw, unfiltered, and real in the public sphere of marketing.

Nina created successful breakthroughs when she chose to be vulnerable with the written word. Her poems brought her closer to the people she was meant to serve.
